Gardening with Papa

Today Papa, Addy, Dawson and their cousins all planted my garden! What good helpers they were for Papa. I am lucky it just got done. They all enjoyed getting their hands in the dirt and
planting the seeds, especially my dad! What a great Papa.

Major Milestone!

I am super happy to announce that Dawson went his first day with no poop accidents. He pooped- a little poop- in the potty! Hooray buddy! I think we have turned the corner and he will soon be a pooping-in the potty- machine. You go boy. We are so proud! Wear those spidey underwear with pride.

Grumpy face

I love having a new baby in our home! However all I want to do is hold him all day. He is such a good baby and so adorable I must say. Addy and Dawson say he is cute but they tell everyone he has a "grumpy face". Addy even asked me today if she had grumpy face like that when she was a baby. We love our little guy grumpy face and all!

Somewhat grumpy face . Not so grumpy face.

Addy's Kindergarten Play

Addy had her Kindergarten play last Thursday. They have been working on this at school for a while now and she has even taught Dawson some of the songs. She did such a great job! She is definately like her mom, loud. She could be heard and she knew the songs well. It was really cute. I can't believe she is done with Kindergarten. I am so proud of her and all she has accomplished this year. I do feel a little old to think she will be in 1st grade next year. She is growing up way to fast and I need to take the time to relish it more before she is all grown up. Hey thanx Nat for the pictures, you saved me in my post pregnancy brain fart.

POTTY TRAINING!!

Yes we are doing the enormous task of potty training our busy boy who barely slows down to sleep. I am not exaggerating when I say this has been an ENORMOUS undertaking. We have worked on this off and on for a while now. Like clear back in January he was accident free for a couple of days. I was in the kitchen and he came up to me and said, "Mom watch this," and he just peed his pants right there! I was shocked. That was how the adventure started and continued for a while. He just chose when and what days he wanted to be a big boy. So being pregnant and it being tax season I chose the less stress route and unfortunately put him back in pull ups. I think he is just content to be in pull ups forever. Last week he threw a fit because I would not let him wear underwear. I thought if he wants to wear underwear so bad maybe now he is really ready. So onward we went on this adventure. He is really doing well on the potty side. He is dry every morning and tells us when he needs to go. He even stayed dry at Addy's dance recital and at dinner! YEAH! He refuses to go poop in the potty. So we decided to keep him naked so he no longer has this false sense of security with his underoos on, that and I have been giving him apple juice. Fingers crossed this will all be over soon and one day I can look back and laugh at the whole thing. Yes maybe one day. If you have any suggestions we will be happy to listen. We are willing to try anything to get him to poop in the potty.

Addy and Dawson are so excited to have their baby brother finally here as well. As of this post at 10:15 AM Thursday, we still do not have a name yet, but have a couple favorites that we are starting to like. Please enjoy the pics and check back frequently for more pics and updates.

Best buds

I must say I am glad there are days like this! Addy and Dawson are such good buddies. They play so good together when they are not arguing or teasing one another, which Dawson does the majority of. This afternoon they have been playing so well on their imaginary boat. They must have played in the front room for at least 2 hours. What a break for me. Bryan is golfing for Mens league tonight so I actually watched the news tonight, and I got to do this post! I don't even care that they drug out most of the blankets to make their boat and ocean. I love my kids and hope these memories stay with me. I also hope they always stay best buds as they get older- One can hope right!
