Big Move!

Today was a big move at our house. We moved Addy upstairs. That is right I caved. For those of you who don't know Addy has been begging to move upstairs and I told her she could when the basement was finished. Well that didn't happen. I finally had it when they were arguing because Dawson was cleaning the bathroom with her toothbrush. I was tired of the fighting over whose toothpaste was whose, even though Addy would put their names on them if they got the same kind, the yelling ,"I need my privacy", and of course who was going to shower when or in which order. I know kids fight and that is normal but as a Mom if I can find a way to have more peace and spread the love then I am going to do it!! Addy now has her own bathroom and a bedroom away from her brothers. She is now responsible for keeping the upstairs bathroom and her bedroom clean, which she says she is ready to do! So today we moved her into what used to be the play room and moved the play room temporarily in to her old room. It actually went really well. I was full on prepared for some kind of drama, but it never came. Dawson and Addy helped with the whole move with out one word of complaining. We even did a little spring cleaning and took about 4-5 bags of old toys and whatever to DI! Yeah! The old playroom is a blue color which Addy wanted to keep that way. Her old room was pink and she wanted a change. However Addy has been waffling back and forth as to whether or not to get new bedding. Her bedding does have some blue in it but she thinks she may want something different. I told her that maybe she should wait and see how everything looked in her new room and we could decide later. I think it looks great! I was actually worried. I love my Addy more than any thing, however, my parents would say it is sweet justice, Addison is a pack rat and a slob! We literally just threw away her Valentines from Kindergarten, they were special to her! Really! She actually was so happy to be moving upstairs she was trash happy! Yeah for me! The room itself is a little bigger but the closet space is smaller but it all worked out perfect.

Looking in from the door
Her bed, nightstand and a magnet board we need to hang up
I have Addy's old curtains that I will make new ones with along with a new cushion cover and when I say" I will" I mean I am finding someone who can do it!
The mirror that went on the dresser obviously cant fit but Addy doesn't seem to mind one bit!I still have some little things left to do like take down the playroom vinyl and we are going to install a ceiling fan. AHHH, I loved Addy's old room. It was so cute, pink on the bottom and white wanscoating on the top and she had vaulted ceilings. She had a big window in her room as well. I loved it but I guess she is growing up. I must admit I really do like the room upstairs for her as well. I like the A frame ceiling and her little window seat for reading. She now has a space all her own and it looks way cute with all her stuff in there! All in all it was relatively easy and it didn't take all day thanx to my awesome hubby! Addy hope you like your new room because their is no going back!!

Programs and Recitals

Lately we have been busy with end of the year events, as are most of you I am sure. Dawson had his Preschool program/graduation. It was even better because he had the program while Taylor and Aunt Fefe were here. It was really great that the whole family came. They sang songs and they all got called up by name and got a certificate and a book they had made throughout the year. It was really cute. Dawson did a great job. For some reason my camera only recorded 2 seconds of him singing, but it did record him getting his little certificate and book.

Addy had her dance recital as well. She did fabulous! She did 2 dances, one to HSM3 "I want it all" and one to "It's a sunshine day". I think Addy has found her niche! She loves to dance!

It was so cute, Dawson was so proud of Addy! He ran up to her gave her the flower and just hugged her. He kept saying,"great job Addy". Really nice for a Mom to hear, especially since he teases her so much.
As much as I love going to all these event and as proud of my kiddos as I am, I am glad for them all to be over and done with. I am ready for some lazy summer days!!!!!

I still have wisdom!

That is right, I still have wisdom in my youth. Apparently now that I have just hit puberty(ha ha) I got my wisdom teeth removed, well one of them any way! So the story goes like this....... last week I felt this little annoying discomfort behind my last tooth on the left upper side when I flossed or brushed my teeth. Didn't think much of it until later when it was a little more bothersome. I told Bryan, "I think I have a tooth growing in the back of my mouth". To which he LAUGHED! I asked him to look and see. Oh was that a sight, if anyone saw I bet they would have died laughing. In the end he could not see a thing. I was not worried about it, I mean it didn't hurt when I ate and only on occasion when I was brushing. So on with my life I went until last Friday it started to hurt more if I ate on that side. By Sunday it was bothering me regardless of whether I was eating. It was even hurting to open my mouth. Monday morning I called the dentist, who just so happens to be one of our great friends and our neighbor, they were able to get me in today-Tuesday! Perfect! I was starving all day Monday because it was so hard for me to open my mouth or to chew. You all know me I love to eat so the sooner the better. Now I am not going to lie, I was nervous, really nervous! Not exactly sure why, but I was. I got to my appointment, with lortab in tow just in case, got the x-rays done and we were ready to go, but not before I said a little prayer. I am not kidding when I say my hands were shaking. Again why I was so nervous is beyond me. Jeremy, I mean Dr. Ludlow numbed me and then said, "OK this part is going to make you want to punch me. I have to numb the inside as well". OK I thought and I prepared to restrain myself......NOTHING!!! I felt nothing. If that was supposed to be the worst part then WOW. So I sat there for about 5 minutes while I got fully numb. Then Jeremy came back in and the tooth was out in like 5 minutes. SERIOUSLY! I was freaking out over nothing. I felt no pain what so ever. That was literally one of the easiest things ever. I was home in 45 minutes. Dr. Ludlow you are the best! So even though one of my wisdom teeth is out, I am still wise. I mean look at the good friends I choose to have! Look at my wise choice in my Awesome Dentist!

Pictures of Kids

Ky's 1 year pictures!

Kyler is 1!!

I can't believe that my baby is 1! Time has just flown by. He is so fun to have around. I could name a million things about him that I just adore but I would have to say my top favs are..... His smile, His laugh, and the fact that he is a Mamma's boy! Here are his 1 year stats.....We had a baseball themed birthday party for him on Saturday. It was great to have the family come. Addy and Dawson were so excited, you would have thought it was their birthdays. I decided to involve the kids with some of the projects which was great. They felt involved and it really helped to make the day about Ky. I sent out little personalized baseball themed invites which I made.

The kids first project was to make a sign for the front door, with the help of Nana of course. I think they did a great job!

The concessions consisted of ball park favorites. Hot dogs, chili cheese dogs, nachos, pretzels, cracker jacks, popcorn, peanuts, chips, and drinks. The second project for the kids was the concession sign.

Kyler enjoying the concessions, well the warm pretzels, chips and licorice. Real healthy I know, but I figure anything goes on your birthday.
For the first time ever I decided to decorate a cake instead of just buying one. I am not going to lie, I was stressed. However with the support and help of my mom I think they turned out GREAT!
Ky before......
Ky after.
I wish the weather would have been better. We did have some activities planned but the weather didn't really cooperate the whole time. It was nice for a while and Ky went and showed off his batting skills!

Ky opening his presents.
The party turned out really well. It was a lot of fun. I still can't believe that he is 1! I am so grateful that he is a part of our family. Happy Birthday our little Ky man!
