Six Random Things

I was tagged by Heather Harper a while ago-Thanx for being so patient. Here it goes 6 random things about me.

1. I won at Bunco this week for the first time in like a year. Yea Me!! ( I know who really cares right)

2. I am wanting to sign Bryan and I up for couples dance lessons. The class teaches all sorts of styles. It would be so fun. Any takers to join us!!

3. I have a confession- I have not been to the gym since Ky was born.

4. I am wanting to paint Kyler's crib. I bought the stuff and I have been putting it off, I guess I am nervous. How bad could I really screw it up? It can't be that difficult right? Anyone want to come and help me?????

5. I actually like to cook. The thing I hate is trying to figure out what to make. As much as I like to cook I should be better about including my kids. I would rather turn up the music and just cook away. I know I am a little weird.

6. I am tone deaf. I love music and I love to sing, I just suck! I wish more than anything that I could sing well, I am not even shooting for the stars I just want to be able to sing a song in tune. You know it is bad when your kids tell you that you don't sound good. Oh well maybe one day in the hear after I will sound angelic! At least that is what I am telling myself, but odds are, people there will be to nice to say anything!

So there ya have it, 6 random things about me you could not live without knowing!
I tag Tina, Heather Coon and Um Nat because I love to hear your random thoughts!

Addy's soccer delema

Last night was Addison's last soccer game of the season. This has been her second year playing, and she has enjoyed it from time to time. I asked her if she wanted to play next year and at first she said "No, I don't really think so." O.K. by me I said. I asked her why she did not like it. "Well I like the games but I don't like practicing. Sometimes it is boring having to always keep my eye on the ball." After the game last night she said she was just kidding and really wanted to play next year. Who knows with that girl. She changes her mind frequently. I have posted some pics of last year and this year just in case she decides she is through with the soccer thing. I don't really care either way although she does look cute in her soccer get up!

Last year as a Dragonfly! She was so haapy to be #4. Why I am not sure.Addy this year as a Wildcat. Addy and her good friend Lydia.
Addy and her teammate and good friend Sage, who was on her team last year as well.
Addy was so happy and lucky that Fefe got to see her play. Here she is with Fefe and Nanny! A rare shot-Addy in action! That is not always a typical picture of Addy. She can often be seen doing cartwheels, dancing or playing with another teammate.

One FUNNY son of a gun!

Last night we were having family home evening with our fam and Aunt Fefe, Eliza and Aunt Nanny. We were talking about the 13 articles of faith. Dawson was as usual walking around somewhat playing and somewhat listening-more playing than listening. I have had to learn to just let him wander as to keep peace and harmony in our home and make FHE a pleasent experience for all involved. I was reviewing what we had talked about with Dawson to see if anything stuck, this is what went down.
Dawson tell me who wrote the articles of faith.
Um Jesus.
No.
Um Heavenly Father.
No.
Oh Richard did. (Richard is his Uncle)
We laughed so hard. Eventually we were able to establish who really wrote the articles of faith.

Next was bath time, he was getting out and of course trying some new manuever to get out of the tub instead of just getting out like a normal person would, he just had to add a splash of Dawson flare. Well in the process he fell hit his mouth on the edge of the tub. He got up a bit stunned, I went straight for the mouth to check out the damage. To my surprise, I found nothing. His upper lip was a little red, thats it. I know he is so lucky! I told him" Dawson you are one lucky son of a gun." He looked at me and said, "what does that mean mom?" I said laughing "Oh it is just a silly term." Then he said, " I am a silly term!" Then again I laughed so hard. Life with Dawson is never boring, dull or without entertainment!

Kyler is 4 months

I can not believe that my baby is 4 months old! He is growing way to fast. He now weighs 13 lbs 7 oz. and is 25 inches long. He is rolling over, talking and laughing!

He just lights up when he sees you, he is just the cutest. He is so fun to have around. Addy and Dawson just adore him and play so well with him. He has had cereal twice, the first time I'm not sure he knew what to think. The second time he was getting the hang of it. He is definitely a boy, he ate it all both times! He is sitting up well with assistance of course. He loves his exersaucer and loves to play with his toes. He also loves to be sung to, especially by his sister and brother! He is so fun to watch grow and develop. I love the joy he has brought in to our home, I love the fun he brings to all of us, I love his smile, his laugh and the twinkle in his eyes. I just plain love him to pieces!!

Dawson is 4!

Today Dawson turned 4. I can't believe that our little boy is 4. Wow how time flies. I asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday and he said he wanted a "National Treasure" birthday. Well as you can imagine we could not find anything-dang it! Dawson then decided he didn't want a friend party at all. What is up with that! He didn't really want to do anything for his B-day, until I mentioned bowling! He was all over that! He decided that he wanted just family to go-seriously who would not want to go bowling with friends? However I guess I am glad he still likes to be with us,I know that that wont always be the case. So Saturday we all went bowling with Grandma and Grandpa Wood and Grandma and Grandpa Morris, Robert, MaryAnn, Melissa and Emily. We had a blast. Dawson was a hoot to watch, I took video so enjoy!

The Wood family bowling feet!

After bowling we went to the SUU football game. It was great weather and we whooped up on Adams State( where ever that is). It was a great day! So now onto today-his actual birthday-
We have a tradition in our family that on your birthday you get to have whatever breakfast you want in bed. Dawson loved this. He ate his cinnamon rolls with a huge smile. Then he decided he wanted to have a cupcake party. He had to explain to me that that is when you have your friends over just for cupcakes. O.K. I had already made the cupcakes this morning so we just made some calls. Dawson requested McDonalds for lunch so me, Bry and Ky took him to McDees. After that came the highlight of his day. It was also his first day of school. I don't know if he was more excited about his birthday or his first day of school. He looked so big with his backpack on. Of course he just walked right in sat down and had a blast the whole time! He told us he learned about the letter A. They sang a bee song and had a snack. Sounds good to me! Dawson and Mrs.Orton

After school was his cupcake party. He had Camryn, Easton, Cole, Zander, Trenton, Brea and of course Brooklynn, his other sister. They all just played and ate as many cupcakes as they could.

Zander, Camryn, Trenton, Dawson, Cole, Easton Dawson finished his big day with some pizza. It was another great day. I still can't believe that he is 4, he is really growing up to be such a gentleman. My heart still melts with his hugs and kisses. I hope that never changes. He has definitely taught me a lot- PATIENCE, Unconditional love, how to really give a hug, LAUGHTER(never a shortage when he is around), singing and dancing always makes you feel better and you can do it anytime and anywhere, what it means to have energy(wish I could bottle that up and drink it) and no matter where he is, it is a PARTY! I love ya buddy!

Our Little Gymnast

So today Dawson started his gymnastics class at SUU and I could not keep a smile off my face! He was awesome and he LOVED it! He got to do stuff on the floor and he showed off his cool cartwheels, running sumersaults, and some other creative acrobatic moves. He was moving so fast I could not even capture a picture, anyone surprised! Next it was to the tramp, and then to the beam. He ended back on the floor with the parachute. I wish more than anything I could have captured the look on his cute little face when he came over to me afterwards, he was beaming with pride and just plain happiness! He kept saying "Mom that was awesome! Mom did ya see me do a tuck on the tramp, did you see my cartwheels and did you see me do this...... It just melted my heart, I am a proud mamma! I love my big boy!
